Build Your Own Keyword Database Based on Google Keyword Suggestions

Create a folder in your hard disk for saving your raw keyword files.

Use the Google Keyword Tool as you would normally do. Google Keyword Tool allows you to save the data as CSV (Comma Separated Values) files. Whenever you lookup a set of keywords using the Google Keyword Tool, scroll down and use the "Download All Keywords: .csv" option to save the research data to your hard disk. Remember to save the files to the folder you created for the purpose.

Now switch to the Keyword List view in Keyword Strategy Studio and click on the Import Folder ribbon button. You will be asked to specify a folder. Simply point it to the folder that contains all your keyword csv files.

Keyword Strategy Studio will now import all the csv files, along with the relevant data and save it all into a real database that supports SQL queries!

You now have a powerful local SEO resource available to you at any time! You can use it even if you are offline!

Unlike in the free Good Keywords software, there is no limit on the number of keywords you can add to the database.

You can find and display the keywords very easily. Keyword Strategy Studio will allow you to perform simple SQL queries (you don't need to know SQL). You can also upgrade to our advanced tools if you need more powerful keyword handling features.

Query and Display Keywords

As your local database grows, you will need to use the query options to find what you need. The following examples will help you understand the method.

To find all keywords that contain a specific word

...just type the word into the ribbon bar box and press enter!

Eg: Typing in...

domain

and pressing Enter will list all the keywords that contain the word domain

To find all keywords that start with a specific word

...type the word followed by a % (percent symbol) into the ribbon bar box and press enter!

Eg: Typing in...

domain%

and pressing Enter will list all the keywords that start with the word domain

To find all keywords that end with a specific word

...type the word preceded by a % (percent symbol) into the ribbon bar box and press enter!

Eg: Typing in...

%domain

and pressing Enter will list all the keywords that end with the word domain

Multi-Word Queries

Use + and | in between words to do "AND" or "OR" queries. For example,

domain+hosting

will list all keywords that contain both the words domain and hosting

domain|hosting

will list all keywords that contain either the word domain or the word hosting
